Dodgers' Yasiel Puig Suspended, Fined for Obscene Gesture to Indians Fans

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig has received a one-game suspension and an undisclosed fine for his obscene gesture following his home run in the top of the second inning of Tuesday's game against the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field. Joe Torre, Chief Baseball Officer for Major League Baseball, made the announcement Wednesday.

Puig's suspension had been scheduled to be served tonight, when the Dodgers are to continue their series at Cleveland.

However, he has elected to appeal. Thus, the discipline issued to Puig will be held in abeyance until the process is complete.
