Draymond Green Leaves Warriors' Season Opener Early With Arm Injury

The Warriors' season opener at Chase Center got off to a scary start Thursday night. And Golden State's poor shooting wasn't even the worst part.

With the Warriors down 8-0 against the Clippers early in the first quarter, forward Draymond Green set a screen on Clippers guard Patrick Beverley. When Green went back on defense, he was in obvious pain as he yelled and grabbed his right arm.

Warriors rookie Eric Paschall replaced Green, who went back to the Warriors locker room. Green was diagnosed with a right elbow contusion. His return is to be determined.

Losing the do-it-all forward for any stretch of time would be a big blow to the Warriors. They already are without center Willie Cauley-Stein, and shooting guard Klay Thompson is unlikely to play at all this season while he rehabs a torn ACL.

The Warriors badly need Draymond on both ends of the floor.
