Draymond Green to Miss Preseason Game Vs. Suns, Aims for Lakers Game

OAKLAND -- Draymond Green's sore left knee officially reached "lingering" status on Sunday.

He did not participate in the open practice conducted by the Warriors at Oracle Arena on Sunday and will not be in the lineup or otherwise available to play Monday night when they face the Phoenix Suns in a preseason game Monday night.

Green's knee flared up after the preseason opener on Sept. 29. Though an MRI test was clean, he did not play in the second preseason game, Friday night in Seattle, and has gone eight days without participating in practice.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Green is "working his way back and there is hope that he will be able to participate in the team's shootaround Monday morning or at practice on Tuesday.

"We'd like to get him in the game Wednesday," Kerr said.

The Warriors travel to Las Vegas Tuesday afternoon after practice and are scheduled to face the Lakers on Wednesday at T-Mobile Arena.
