Durant Thought Bob Myers Was Joking About Cousins Wanting to Sign With Warriors

Early in the morning on July 2, DeMarcus Cousins called Warriors GM Bob Myers.

The four-time All-Star told the Warriors' GM that he wanted to join Golden State.

So Myers called Steve Kerr and several of the team's players to discuss the potential addition.

On the Pull Up Podcast with CJ McCollum, Durant revealed the details of his conversation with Myers.

"The day it happened, Bob called me that morning and he was just like, 'What do you think about Cuz?' And I was like, 'Man, stop playing -- come on man. How we gonna do that?' And he's like, 'The $5 million we got.' And I was like, 'Man, all right. Stop playing.'

"And he's like, 'For real. I'm serious. He wants to come.' And I'm like, 'OK. Just let me know what happens later on.' So I went to the movies and I didn't have my phone on me. It was done when I came out the movies and I'm like, 'I cannot believe this just happened.'

"For like two days I was saying that."

Durant did not provide details about his conversation with Cousins.

And he did not reveal what movie he was watching when Cousins picked the Warriors.
