Elite Draft Prospect Marvin Bagley III Schedules Visit With Kings

Kings fans have been waiting and wondering, will any top tier draft prospects visit Sacramento with the No. 2 overall selection on the line? That question was answered with resounding, yes, Friday afternoon.

With most of the front office hanging out at Michael Porter Jr.'s pro day, the team announced that Duke big man Marvin Bagley III will visit Sacramento for a one-on-one with the team on Monday.

The 6-foot-11 freshman is one of three players, along with Porter Jr. and European prospect, Luka Doncic, the Kings are believed to be considering with the second overall pick.

Bagley posted huge numbers in his lone season at the NCAA level under Mike Krzyzewski. After reclassifying and moving up his high school graduation year, Bagley fit seamlessly into the Blue Devil's system, posting 21 points and 11.1 rebounds per game.

The 19-year-old struggled on the defensive end, but he's a high-motor, physical athlete that plays above the rim. He's refining his shooting range to extend towards the 3-point line, but he would instantly step in and improve one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA.

Hoping to unseat former prep school teammate, Deandre Ayton, as the top overall selection, Bagley visited the Phoenix Suns on Friday.

General manager Vlade Divac and owner Vivek Ranadivé were in Spain earlier this week to watch Doncic play for Real Madrid.

They are getting in a last minute cram session on Porter Jr. as well, including Friday's pro day in Chicago, followed by a meeting next week with a smaller group of teams.
