Embiid Can't Wait to Play Warriors; Told Draymond He Was Going to ‘kick His Ass'

Joel Embiid has fired the first shots in a 'friendly' war of words between him and Golden State Warriors All-Star forward Draymond Green.

During an interview, Embiid detailed an experience with Green where the Philadelphia 76ers center told him exactly what was on his mind.

"I saw Draymond this summer and I told him that I was going to kick his ass," Embiid said. "I can't wait to play against him. Because, I feel, I love the way he talks trash and I feel like I'm kind of like the same. So it's going to be a fun battle especially agianst you know Steph(en Curry), Klay (Thompson), KD (Kevin Durant) -- still haven't played against them. I'm excited."

The 76ers are in town to the play the Warriors. It'll happen on Saturday night at Oracle Arena -- this a couple of days after the Sacramento Kings handed the Sixers a loss over at the Golden1 Center.

"He's lucky I haven't played him yet," Embiid added. "It's friendly trash talk. That's what I do. I love doing that -- doesn't matter if you're my friend or not. I'm always going to talk trash."

In nine games this season, Embiid is averaging 20.7 points, 10.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.

Embiid was the third overall pick by the Sixers in the 2014 NBA Draft.
