Before the season started, it looked like a marquee early-season matchup. But Wednesday night's clunker between the decimated Warriors and coasting Lakers was anything but.
The Warriors entered the game losers of four straight, trying to find a way to survive without Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Kevon Looney. The Lakers, meanwhile, are on the opposite end of the spectrum, with the LeBron James-Anthony Davis pairing yielding fantastic early-season returns.
Even with Davis sitting out Wednesday night's game at Staples Center, the mismatch was evident from the tip, with the Lakers picking apart the Warriors' porous defense en route to a 120-94 win. The game was a snoozer, so it's no surprise at least one fan at Staples Center was caught grabbing some Zs courtside late in the fourth quarter.
Ummmmmmmm I'm pretty sure this fan sitting courtside (behind JaVale) at Warriors-Lakers is completely asleep pic.twitter.com/gWzBHCgRjl— Drew Shiller (@DrewShiller) November 14, 2019
Can't blame him.

The Warriors skidded to a fifth-straight loss and their road ahead doesn't get much easier. With Curry and Thompson both getting reevaluated in February, the Warriors, now 2-9, are starting at a long, painful season that they hope will set them up for a quick turnaround once fully healthy next season.

Until the Warriors are whole, there likely will be a few more snoozers for fans to sit through.
