Flying Hot Dog Welcomes Tiger Woods Back to the Bay Area

A drunk fan threw a hot dog at the professional golfer at CordeValle

Welcome home Tiger, have a hot dog.

A warm wiener and a crusty bun is how one man decided to welcome Tiger Woods back to the Bay Area over the weekend.

The notorious golfer was playing the seventh green at CordeValle near San Jose, just down the road from Stanford, where he played his college golf, when a man who "wanted to be in the news" ran towards Woods and threw a hot dog at him.

The man did not get close to Woods.

Neither Woods or anybody else was hurt in the incident but the hot dog was carried off the course in two pieces.

"When I looked up, the hot dog was already in the air," Wood said. "He was pretty far away from me."

The unnamed man appeared to be intoxicated, according to authorities. He was easily apprehended and carried off the green.
