For a Good Cause, Steph Curry to Wear Special 1-of-1 Shoes Vs Wizards

On Tuesday, the Warriors and underprivileged children from the Washington D.C. area, visited the National Museum of African-American History. On Wednesday night in D.C., Warriors star Steph Curry is continuing to be more than a basketball player with a special pair of shoes.

Curry is wearing a 1-of-1 pair of Curry 4s for My Brother's Keeper Alliance. The special pair of shoes also have Barack Obama's logo on them.

Why is Curry wearing these shoes Wednesday night when the Warriors play the Wizards? Curry explained on Instagram:

The inspiration for the shoe I'll be playing in today is every boy and young man of color in this country that need to know they matter - to their communities, their country, to me. Four years ago this week, the @mbk_alliance was created to reduce barriers and expand opportunity so nothing stands in the way of everyone achieving their biggest dreams. I've been proud to be part of that mission from day one, and I'll never stop being my brothers' keeper.  I will auction these shoes and donate the proceeds in support of this critical movement.  Please visit IamMBK.org to learn more about the My Brother's Keeper Alliance.

In a video on Instagram, Curry said, "What's up y'all, it's Steph. I'm out here in D.C. playing the Wizards tonight. I have a special sneak peak of a 1-of-1 colorway of the Curry 4s I'm wearing tonight in support of the My Brother's Keeper Alliance to continue to raise awareness and support young men and boys of color in their pursuit of achievement in the highest place in life.

"I'm gonna be auctioning off these shoes after the game. All the proceeds will go to supporting my Brother's Keeper. You can check it out on iammbk.org. These are the kicks right here. Special colorway, supporting a special mission.

"Check it out, let's get this win tonight. It's gonna be a great night. Doing a lot of great things, I appreciate it."
