Forbes: Giants Value Rises 18 Percent, Moves Them Up in World Rankings

The Giants may be one of the worst teams in baseball this year, but they're still one of the Top 20 most valuable sports franchises in the world.

The Giants placed 19th with a valuation of $2.65 billion, according to Forbes Magazine. San Francisco experienced a one-year change of 18 percent and an operating income of $78.1 million.

Last year, the Giants were the 20th most valuable franchise at $2.25 billion. In 2015, they were ranked 14th at $2 billion.

Only two clubs in the Top 51 most valuable sports franchises lost money over the past year, and both call Los Angeles home. The Dodgers lost $20.5 million and the Clippers are estimated to have lost $11.8 million.
