Mike Fiers wasn't Oakland Monday, but still found a way to represent his new club.
The former Detroit Tigers starting pitcher, who the A's acquired in a trade for two players to be named later, stayed with his old team for the first game of a three-game series in Anaheim. His new team had the day off, and that forced to the 33-year-old to get... a bit creative with his headwear.
Mike Fiers has an A's hat in his locker. It is a Tigers hat with masking tape over the Olde English ‘D' and "A's" written in Sharpie.— anthony fenech (@anthonyfenech) August 6, 2018
Fiers later addressed the media in said hat.

He'll get a chance to wear a real A's hat on Wednesday, when he is set to make his first start for Oakland and square off against Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw.
