Game 1: Friday May 4, 7:15 p.m. PT -- Tim Lincecum (2-2, 5.74 ERA) vs. Zach Greinke (3-1, 3.94)
Tim Lincecum is supposed to be an ace in the hole. Instead, he keeps putting the Giants in one.
The Milwaukee Brewers turned two walks, a hit batter, a wild pitch and a single up the middle into a 3-0 lead in the first inning. Although the Giants eventually rallied back to tie and take Lincecum off the hook, Aramis Ramirez’s two-run single in the seventh off Sergio Romo put the Brewers ahead again as the Giants lost 6-4.

Game 2: Saturday May 5, 1:05 p.m. PT -- Madison Bumgarner (4-1, 2.53) vs. Randy Wolf (2-2, 6.84)
Is it possible that Randy Wolf looks up and down these pitching matchups and just cries himself to sleep? Because, no offense to Mr. Wolf, who has an awesome last name, but he is an orange slice amongst a gigantic forest of apples.
Of course, I say that and obviously he'll pitch a complete-game shutout against BumGeezy, who might just be the hottest pitcher on the planet right now. If he does that, you can bet it will go relatively unnoticed by anyone since BOTH the Kentucky Derby and Cinco De Mayo take place on Saturday. I recommend a Tequila Julep.
As far as matchups go, only Ryan Braun has a homer against MadBum, and only Braun, Rickie Weeks and Corey Hart have more than 10 plate appearances. All are hitting .273 or higher, so there's some slight danger here.
Interestingly, Bumgarner is actually 1/4 against Wolf. Which makes him pretty good relatively to everyone else; Ryan Theriot has 40 plate appearances and he's batting .211 against Wolf. Come on! EDGE: GIANTS
Game 3: Sunday May 6, 1:05 p.m. PT -- Matt Cain (1-2, 2.35) vs. Shaun Marcum (1-1, 3.19)
Brandon Crawford is strrrrrrrrrugling this year. But here's a bright spot, kid: remember the last time you faced Shaun Marcum? Yeah you do. You sent a salami deep. Giants fans would probably appreciate you do that this time too. And maybe not make so many errors.

You'll never guess who's good against Cain: YUP, RYAN BRAUN. Go figure. This guy plays at like an MVP level or something, huh? However, Cain has never given up a homer to any of the current Brewers. That is important, hard-hitting and relevant statistical analysis.
It doesn't matter though, because this game is all but guaranteed to be a 2-1 final where one of these pitchers is really upset because their offense doesn't provide them enough support to pick up a win, despite a really good outing. With that in mind ...
