Giants Wronged by Wright

Mets star David Wright showed the Giants Thursday night why he is one of the bright young stars in baseball.  Wright was a virtual one man wrecking crew, collecting three hits, knocking in two runs, and stealing four bases in New York's 7-4 victory.

The Giants trailed 4-2 in the eighth inning, before tying the game thanks to RBI singles by Juan Uribe and Edgar Renteria.  However, closer Brian Wilson quickly got himself into to trouble in the top of the ninth.  With runners on the corners, and one out, Wright came through with the eventual game winning RBI.  New York tacked on two more for the final score.

With the loss, the Giants have now dropped their last two games.  They will send Cy Young Award winner Tim Lincecum to the mound Friday night to try and get the team back on a winning track.  Lincecum will face former Giant Livan Hernandez.  The game can be seen on NBA Bay Area beginning at 7pm.
