Giants' Manager Hopeful Joe Espada Squeezes in World Series During Interview

There's busy ... and then there's Joe Espada's schedule the last week.

The Houston Astros' bench coach, in between assisting the team's World Series fight, has been flying off to San Francisco to interview for the Giants' managerial position.

The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal did a quick timeline of Espada's agenda in between Game 2 and 3.

He awoke early in the morning and took a flight to San Francisco to make an afternoon (if you're on Central Time) interview with the team for a few hours. A while after that he took a flight from SF to Washington D.C. to be in time for the third game.

Rosenthal did the math for us and it tallied out to about nine hours in the air alone. But he did manage to have an uppity attitude once he arrived back to the Fall Classic.

And Espada's mindset about the crazy travels day(s)?

"You want something, you go get it," he said.
