WASHINGTON D.C. - Joey Bart, the Giants' top prospect, will see a hand specialist Tuesday, NBC Sports Bay Area has learned.
Bart was hit by a pitch Monday night and left the San Jose Giants game for X-rays.
The Giants expect to have a further update later Tuesday, but the fact that Bart is seeing a specialist indicates there is some concern about what the test showed. Bart left Monday's game in the fourth inning and San Jose announcer Joe Ritzo tweeted that he was "in obvious pain."

Bart, last year's first-round pick, is off to a strong start in his first full professional season. He has a .882 OPS, two homers and eight RBI in 10 games.
