Giants Vs. Diamondbacks Lineup: Alex Dickerson to Make His Team Debut

The Giants' never-ending outfield carousel continues.

San Francisco placed outfielder Steven Duggar on the 10-day injured list Friday, prior to the Giants' season opener with the Diamondbacks in Arizona. In a corresponding move, the team called up outfielder Alex Dickerson.

The Giants acquired Dickerson in a trade with the Padres on June 10. He hit .372 with five home runs for the Padres' Triple-A affiliate, but has only hit .176 in six games for the Giants' Triple-A team -- the Sacramento River Cats.

The left-handed hitter will make his Giants debut in left field and bat seventh against Arizona right-hander Taylor Clarke.

Dickerson played 12 games for the Padres this year, but only had three hits in 19 at-bats. Over three stints in the bigs -- all with San Diego -- he has hit .250 with 10 homers.

First pitch for Giants-D-backs is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. PT, with pregame coverage beginning at 5:30. You can follow all the action on NBC Sports Bay Area and streaming online and on the MyTeams app.
