Giants Vs. Nationals Lineup: Tyler Austin Returns, Buster Posey Sits

After splitting the first two games of the series, the Giants will send left-hander Drew Pomeranz to the hill Thursday at Nationals Park for the matinee series finale with the Washington Nationals.

The Giants opened their road trip by clubbing three home runs in a 7-3 win over the Nats on Tuesday, but Washington returned the favor in Game 2, belting four long balls to grab a 9-6 win.

In what likely is his final game as a manager in the nation's capital, Bruce Bochy is trotting out a lineup that looks a little different than the one he penciled in for the first two games of the series.

With left-hander Patrick Corbin on the bump for Washington, Tyler Austin returns to the lineup and will bat second, while Kevin Pillar will be bumped up to the No. 3 hole. Meanwhile, the struggling Buster Posey gets the day off with Erik Kratz doing the catching and batting eighth.

Here are the lineups for Thursday's Giants vs. Nationals game:

San Francisco Giants (8-11)
Steven Duggar, RF
Tyler Austin, 1B
Kevin Pillar, CF
Brandon Belt, LF
Evan Longoria, 3B
Brandon Crawford, SS
