Giants Vs. Padres Lineups: Buster Posey Starts, Bats Cleanup in Return

He's back.

Buster Posey will return to the Giants lineup Wednesday night against the San Diego Padres, batting clean-up in his first game since June 2. San Francisco went 4-4 in those eight games, including Tuesday night's win over San Diego.

Posey hasn't seen the Padres' starting pitcher all that much. Joey Lucchesi (5-3, 4.21 ERA) will make his fifth career appearance against the Giants, and Posey is just 1-for-5 at the plate this season against the southpaw.

Shaun Anderson (1-1, 4.18 ERA), the Giants' own young starter, will make his first start against the Padres on Wednesday. The 24-year-old pitched at least six innings in each of his last two starts, holding the New York Mets and Baltimore Orioles to a combined .234 batting average.
