After scoring 11 runs the night before, the Giants' only put together three hits on offense while Paul Goldschmidt was too much in a 2-1 loss Friday night to the D'backs.
Goldschmidt drove in both of the D'backs runs and hit his third triple of the year.
Madison Bumgarner went seven innings with only two earned runs, but was credited with the loss. He struck out seven and only gave up five hits.
The Giants' ace is now 1-5 with a 2.88 ERA.
Brandon Belt was forced to exit early after taking a pitch to his head in the sixth inning.
