How Draymond Green Helped Khalil Mack Land a Sponsorship Deal

Khalil Mack.

Mack Trucks.

A match made in Heaven.

The 2016 NFL Defensive Player of the Year recently struck a deal with the truck company.

"I got a text from Draymond Green out of the blue one day, and he was like 'Lil bro, you gotta be trying to parter with Mack. You should have been on that,'" Mack explained in a YouTube video.

"I texted my guy and we tried to put it to work."

The #NewMack will be unveiled on Sept. 13 -- a few days after Mack and the Raiders open the regular season against the Titans.

"Ever since I was a kid, just seeing my dad talk about Mack Trucks, it always stood out to us and it made us feel like we were connected to something important; something bigger than ourselves," Mack explained.

"Every time I'm on that field, it's just a part of my thought process -- like I'm a Mack Truck running through whoever is in front of me."

Mack ran through a lot of people last season.

The fifth overall pick in the 2014 draft racked up 11 sacks, 73 tackles, three passes defended, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and an interception.

He's a two-time First-Team All-Pro.

No word yet on if Mack will be giving Draymond any royalties...
