Iguodala Ever Think He Was Signing With Rockets? ‘Can't Get Too Deep Right Now Because…'

The "Andre Iguodala almost signed with the Rockets last summer" story is alive and well.

After practice on Friday, Iguodala was asked if he was close to joining Houston.

He answered... but not really.

"I don't remember none of that from last summer," Iguodala said with a smile on his face. "At the end of the day, it's all business. Every story turns into business, so ... I don't know man. I don't remember man.

"I can't get too deep right now because then it would be a story and everyone makes money off of it at my expense. I'm just really excited to play basketball in America and be free and all that politically correct stuff."

Amazing.

On Thursday, Bob Myers offered his thoughts on almost losing the 2015 NBA Finals MVP.

"I had heard that. In that moment of unrestricted free agency, anything can happen," the Warriors' GM told Greg Papa and Bonta Hill on 95.7 The Game. "And I've seen a lot of different things happen. I don't know how to say this the right way -- I wasn't as much worried about where Andre would have gone. I know maybe some people think that's being disingenuous, but we really just wanted to keep him for ourselves.

"If it had been close to him leaving anywhere else, maybe he would have conveyed that. I don't know how close it was -- I know there's been stuff that was written -- but I never felt like a situation like that was that close."
