Is Draymond Green in Line for His Own Signature Shoe?

For most of the 2016-17 NBA season, Draymond Green wore a pair of Nike Zoom Rev PE with a custom "D23" stitched into the tongue and "23" stitched into the heel.

But a custom shoe is very different from a signature shoe. Only four players have signature shoe deals with Nike -- LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Paul George.

Green is the new frontman for the Nike 2017 Hyperdunk Flyknit, which debuted on his feet in the Warriors' Finals victory over the Cavs this year.

"It's a dream come true that they want me to be the face of the shoe," Green told Slam Magazine. "(Nike representative) Adrian (Stelly) was like, 'No, we want you to debut them in the Finals, and you can be the face of everything. I'm like, Oh man! That's dope."

A dream com true, but not the ultimate goal. Green, however, could be in line to achieve that goal and receive his own signature shoe, according to Slam.

"Obviously the goal is to get your own shoe, and this is a step closer to that," Green told Slam.

Nike's Senior Innovation Designer Ross Klein seems to believe that Green has the right demeanor to command his own signature shoe.

"I appreciate Draymond's personality," he told Slam. "He shows an element of fun, right? He definitely has his stance on the game and what he brings to the game. The emotional level is just something that I really vibe with."
