Jazz Star Donovan Mitchell Loves Big Night for Warriors' Eric Paschall

The Utah Jazz are trying to take the Warriors' crown of Western Conference kings. That won't stop Donovan Mitchell from supporting Golden State's budding rookie Eric Paschall.

Mitchell, the Jazz's star guard, and Paschall grew up as best friends in New York and played AAU basketball together. With the Jazz off Monday night, Mitchell was locked into the Warriors' game against the Blazers.

And he loved what he saw.

Paschall scored a career-high 34 points -- the most by any rookie in the NBA this season -- on his 23rd birthday to lead the Warriors in a 127-118 upset win in San Francisco. If there was anyone who believed in Paschall and saw big nights like this in his future, it's Mitchell.

The runner-up for 2017-18 NBA Rookie of the Year was at Paschall's draft night party when the Warriors selected the big man out of Villanova with the No. 41 overall pick, and let him know how proud he is, with sincere words of encouragement.

Mitchell and Paschall certainly have Nov. 11 marked on their calendars. The two will square off for the first time when the Jazz visit the Warriors, and with the Dubs full of injuries, it could be a shootout between the two best friends.
