Joe Pavelski FaceTimed Sharks After Game 3 Win, Set to Begin Skating

After dropping Game 2 of their second-round Stanley Cup Playoff series to the Colorado Avalanche, the Sharks knew they had to respond Tuesday night in Game 3.

They did just that, as Logan Couture scored three goals to lead Team Teal to a 4-2 victory.

After the win, some of the Sharks got to a message from their captain back in San Jose.

Head coach Peter DeBoer told the media Wednesday that Joe Pavelski FaceTimed with some members of the team to congratulate them on the critical victory.

Pavelski has not played since he left Game 7 of the Sharks' first-round series against the Vegas Golden Knights after hitting the back of his head on the ice following a cross-check from Cody Eakin.

DeBoer also told the media that the captain is scheduled to skate for the first time in San Jose on Wednesday.

It appears Pavelski still has a ways to go to get back on the ice for the Sharks, but it's good to see he's recovering from his gruesome injury.
