Jon Gruden and the Raiders had a rough end to the first half on Sunday against the Chiefs.
Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes hit tight end Travis Kelce for a 6-yard touchdown pass with 0:07 remaining before halftime. There was some questions as to whether Kelce caught the ball before hitting the ground. By rule, it was looked at by replay officials, and the touchdown was confirmed.

As the Chiefs lined up to kick the extra point, Gruden threw his red challenge flag on the field.
One big problem, Chucky.
Coaches aren't allowed to challenge plays insde the final two minutes of the half. Those are handled by the replay booth.

Gruden tried to challenge a play under two minutes. That's a no-no. Raiders charged a timeout.— Scott Bair (@BairNBCS) December 2, 2018
Jon Gruden just threw his challenge flag on a scoring play inside of two minutes, so things are going great— Bill Barnwell (@billbarnwell) December 2, 2018
Because of his blunder, the Raiders were charged a timeout. The good news for Gruden is that they had all three remaining.
