Kerr Mailbag: Eliminating In-game Rule; Which Current Player Should Coach?

The Warriors play the Lakers in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

So while in LA on Tuesday, Steve Kerr joined The Bill Simmons Podcast and answered many questions.

One such question: "If you could change any in-game rule, what would it be?"

Kerr: "I would get rid of replay -- other than buzzer beaters. I would have very, very limited replay.

"I think the replay thing would enhance the flow ... fewer timeouts is good for flow but fewer replays would also be good.

"What's really tricky with replay is the unintended consequences. I would like to see it restricted to just the most basic stuff."

Another question thrown at Kerr: "Which current player would you -- Steve Kerr the NBA player in a time machine coming back -- most want to play for?"

Kerr: "Andre Iguodala I think. He wouldn't want to do it but he would make a good coach. He loves golf. He's gonna have a nice retirement and do whatever he wants.

"Unbelievable basketball mind and he's got the right edge. He would handle the media -- he could do it with his eyes closed -- but I don't think he will."

Check back on Friday when Simmons releases Part 2 of the Kerr mailbag...
