Kevin Durant Contrasts Warriors, Thunder Fans' Reactions to His Exit

Kevin Durant's decision to depart from the Golden State Warriors was one that was expected by many, but undoubtedly hurt a lot of Warriors fans who felt the dynasty had more to accomplish.

However, when asked about the reception to his decision compared to when the two-time Finals MVP left the Oklahoma City Thunder to join the Warriors, KD made sure to say the two reactions were not similar.

"I felt like some Warriors fans were disappointed that it ended like that and wish it could have went longer, but it wasn't that type of reaction," Durant said on New York City's Hot 97 Tuesday morning.

Granted, KD spent his first nine NBA seasons with Seattle/Oklahoma City, while he played just three seasons in the Bay Area.

We're unlikely to see any cupcake signs or a chorus of boos when KD makes his Chase Center debut, but we'll be waiting until at least next season before that becomes a reality.
