Last offseason, Kevin Durant told CJ McCollum not to "worry about what goes on at the top of things."
After watching his Warrior teammates take a two-games-to-none series lead in the Western Conference finals with a 114-111 win over the Trail Blazers in Game 2 on Thursday, Durant didn't seem to think McCollum and Portland were any closer to the top.
Just listen for yourself.
A couple things:
Clearly, his calf isn't bad enough to stop him from celebrating with his teammates.
There's not much the Blazers can say in retort as of yet. They've lost both games to the Warriors thus far, and Durant hasn't played a second of either of them. Lucky for Portland, Durant will not be traveling with the Warriors for Games 3 and 4, and could remain out even longer than that.
As much as Durant's comment may sting, the fact that the Blazers held a 17-point lead and lost Game 2 is more likely to keep them up at night.
