When the Warriors take the floor for the first game in Chase Center history on Saturday night, Kevon Looney will not be in uniform.
The center won't play against the Lakers because of a hamstring strain, coach Steve Kerr told reporters after practice Thursday.
Looney -- who spent a good portion of the offseason rehabbing the costal cartilage fracture he sustained during the NBA Finals against the Raptors -- tweaked the hamstring during practice Wednesday.
With center Willie Cauley-Stein sidelined the month of October because of a left foot strain, it appears Omari Spellman will start on Saturday.
