Kings Jump All the Way Up to No. 2 Overall Pick in 2018 NBA Draft

The ping pong balls bounced the Kings' way on Tuesday night. A year after they moved up from No. 7 to No. 3 (the Sixers swapped No. 5 with them), they've moved up again.

A year after picking fifth overall in the NBA Draft, the Kings will hold the No. 2 overall selection this year.

The Kings entered the Lottery with the No. 7 overall pick. The Suns will pick No. 1 overall.

"We couldn't be more thrilled to secure the second selection in this deep and talented draft class. We are well positioned moving ahead and look forward to continuing to develop and improve our team," Kings GM Vlade Divac said in a statement released by the team.

The order of the lottery was determined on Tuesday night in Chicago.
