Kings Take on Lakers Short-handed in Second NBA Preseason Game

The Sacramento Kings continue their preseason schedule Thursday night with a stop over at the Staples Center. They'll get their first look at a revamped, but incomplete Lakers team.

Yogi Ferrell is a late add to the injury report. The veteran guard scored 26 points in the team's win over Phoenix on Monday, but during the second quarter he sprained his right thumb. X-Rays were negative on the injury and Ferrell is listed as day-to-day.

Bogdan Bogdanovic was in the weight room working out following Wednesday's practice. The team's medical staff and training team is working hard to get the second-year guard back on the court, but he's still weeks away from making an appearance. After two procedures on his knee this summer, the Kings will take a cautious approach.

Iman Shumpert sat out Monday's opener with a sore left calf. He'll miss the Lakers game as well, but he's expected to be ready in the near future.

Kosta Koufos strained his right hamstring Sunday during practice. The team plans to re-evaluate the injury in the next week.

Forward Nemanja Bjelica will miss his second straight game with a sore left knee and is listed as day-to-day.

Roster move

The Kings continue to play the roster shuffle game. Taren Sullivan signed an exhibit 10 contract early in the week before being waived by Sacramento. He'll likely play this season with the Stockton Kings as an allocated player from the parent team.

Sacramento used the open roster spot to ink former UC Santa Barbara guard, Gabe Vincent. After going undrafted this summer, the Stockton native, is expected to see time with the team's G-League franchise following the preseason schedule.
