The Kings are hoping for a bit of a low key night when they face the Knicks on Monday night in Sacramento.
The Knicks currently sit in last place and have 50 losses in their last 63 games. So despite the Kings falling to .500 (31-31) the team is well aware the playoffs are upon them.
Which means they are not taking this matchup lightly -- especially with an interesting last few games.
They want to prove themselves.
Willie Cauley-Stein told NBC Sports Bay Area's James Ham in an interview that he views every game since the All-Star break as a playoff game.
"This is our playoff right here to get to the playoffs. This is our playoff to the playoffs. We have to have that mentality every game from here on out."
They are not holding back -- even against a team that currently sits at a 13-50 record.
