When Golden State Warriors all-star guard Klay Thompson isn't draining three-pointers he's usually spending time with beloved English bulldog, Rocco.
Thompson on Wednesday got to spend time with another dog named after him, Klay, an eight-week yellow Labrador retriever in training to be a guide for the blind.
“I love dogs and it is amazing to see how through the Guide Dogs for the Blind program they can really help change and save lives,” Thompson said. “Rocco is one of my best friends and I truly understand the relationship dogs and people can have and am honored Guide Dogs for the Blind chose to name their latest puppy after me.”
Klay the puppy is being raised by a Livermore family.
