Klay Thompson knows a thing or two about the Lakers.
He spent his high school years living in Southern California and idolized Kobe Bryant.
And oh yeah, his dad won two championships (1987 and 1988) with the Lakers and is the team's radio analyst.
So Klay -- what kind of potential do the Lakers possess this season?
"Definitely expected to make the playoffs just because I think their young guys will take a huge leap -- you usually do from your second and third year," he told reporters after practice on Tuesday. "Absolute playoff contention.
"Championship contention -- I'm not sure. You got to wait to see for that. It takes a lot of work."
...a smart man.
As currently constructed, the Lakers have no chance to win the title and it would be an incredible accomplishment if they reach the Western Conference Finals.
Let the rivalry begin!
