When Steph Curry announced he had plans to play in the 2020 Olympics, many were excited to witness even more basketball at the hands of the six-time All-Star.
And perhaps he will be joined by teammate Klay Thompson ...
"I would love to play (for) Team USA," Thompson told The Athletic's Marcus Thompson. "That is the plan. I would love to be on the Olympic team."
Thompson already possesses a gold medal from Rio de Janeiro in 2016, along with a World Cup gold medal, so this wouldn't be a new adventure for him. And when he earned that World Cup honor, he shared it with Curry in 2014. That's where they bonded in Spain, away from the game.

Thompson is currently rehabbing after undergoing surgery to repair an ACL tear. He's expected to make a full recovery, and despite no timetable on his return, these types of setbacks have some out for five-seven months.

The Olympics begin at the end of July which will give Thompson plenty of time to recover.
