The Los Angeles Kings raised some eyebrows in the second period when Jeff Zatkoff replaced Jonathan Quick in net.
It turns out that Quick is unlikely to return to Wednesday’s season-opener against the San Jose Sharks thanks to a lower-body injury, according to the Los Angeles Times’ Lisa Dillman.
The exact severity of the injury is unclear at this time, and it’s not totally obvious when he might have been injured.
It was reported that Quick's return from injury "could be a while," according to LA Kings Insider Jon Rosen of FOX Sports West, who received the update from GM Dean Lombardi.
