Marleau a No-Show in Chicago

Sharks Captain Patrick Marleau was a no-show for Wednesday night's game in Chicago, and for good reason. Marleau and his wife were celebrating the birth of their second baby boy Wednesday morning in the South Bay.

Brody Marleau weighed in at 7 lbs and 2 ounces.  Patrick will meet up with his Sharks teammates Thursday in Nashville before playing the Predators.

The Sharks had another reason to smile Wednesday night, as Jeremy Roenick returned from injury to give a boost to San Jose's offense.

Joe Thornton helped erase a 4-1 deficit with a spectacular goal to send the game into overtime.  After a scoreless OT, Blackhawks star Jonathan Toews scored the deciding shootout goal against Evgeni Nabokov.  Roenick had a chance to give the Sharks life in the shootout, but was stoned by Blackhawks goalie Nikolai Khababualin. San Jose fell 6-5 to Chicago, although they picked up a point, giving them a league leading 107 for the season.
