Marvin Bagley is looking like the future star the Kings envisioned when they selected him with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. He led Sacramento with 28 points and 14 rebounds off the bench in a wild 125-123 loss to the Warriors on Thursday night.
But Kevin Durant had the best of him, blocking his shot multiple times.
Anthony Slater of The Athletic asked Durant about his "back and forth" matchup with Bagley, and KD had to make a quick correction.
"That wasn't a back and forth," Durant said. "Five blocks to one rip move."
And Bagley took notice.

But perhaps Bagley should have seen more of Durant's comments on him. Golden State's star forward had nothing but praise for the rookie at the podium.
KD was impressed that Bagley was constantly in attack mode.

Bagley clearly isn't backing down, but here's another example that there's always more to one snippet of a press conference.
