Michelle Vitesse took time off from the University of Virginia to work toward making the National Team for the 2012 Olympics. Her decision proved to be the right one, as the forward competed with Team USA to earn 12th place in the 2012 London Olympics.
The year before she red-shirted to join the National Team, Vittese was All-ACC and NFHCA first team All-American in 2010. Vittese started representing the United States on the field in 2007, when she was named to the U-21 Women's National Team. She has achieved three gold medals from World Championship games.
