There's a new Yaz in town.
The Giants are calling up outfielder Mike Yastrzemski from Triple-A Sacramento, MLB Network's Jon Heyman reported on Saturday.
Yastrzemski is the grandson of Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski. This will be the 28-year-old's first taste of the big leagues.
Yastrzemski was batting .316 with 12 home runs and a 1.090 OPS for the River Cats in 40 games this season.
The Giants acquired Yastrzemski in the offseason for pitcher Tyler Herb. A corresponding move is yet to be announced.
