The NBA trade deadline is three days away and the whole basketball world is waiting to see if Anthony Davis is shipped out of New Orleans.
The Lakers have been at the top of The Brow's wish list, but there are other teams he could see himself suiting up for in the years ahead.
The latest intel comes from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
This could help open up marketplace on a trade for Davis between now and Thursday 3 p.m. deadline, creating stronger offers to Pels. No matter destination, Davis has no plans to sign extension this summer. The plan is signing a new deal in July of 2020, once he opts out. https://t.co/RWqXzaV4va— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) February 4, 2019
Hmmmmm.

We can practically hear Warriors fans wondering out loud: "Is Golden State on the list?!" It's quite possible the answer to that question is, "Yes," but it would be practically impossible for the Warriors to acquire Davis before Thursday's deadline.
Please don't be angry with the messenger.

Furthermore, one way to look at this new information is that the Pelicans want the Lakers to believe Davis would sign a long-term extension in July 2020 with the team that trades for him now.
This could prompt the Lakers to improve their offer to ensure they don't miss out on the opportunity to land the transcendent talent. Yes, if Davis is in fact traded somewhere else he could still choose to sign with the Lakers after next season. But he could fall in love with his new home and give the Lakers the cold shoulder (like Paul George).
If the Lakers truly want Davis now, they are going to need to beef up the proposal.
As the NBA trade deadline approaches on Thursday, Lakers have yet to offer multiple first-round picks in any deal, or salary cap relief, league sources tell ESPN. Lakers offering several different deal ideas, but none serious enough for a Pelicans counter yet, sources said. https://t.co/6H9ynauljJ— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) February 2, 2019
And finally, it certainly doesn't like the six-time All-Star is Boston bound. Last week, we learned that Davis and his camp are skeptical that Kyrie Irving will be with the Celtics beyond this season. And perhaps more importantly, Davis' father said: "I would never want my son to play for Boston after what they done to Isaiah Thomas."
You gotta feel bad for those Boston sports fans. Nothing seems to go their way...
