Warriors guard Klay Thompson tore his left ACL during Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.
That was 19 days ago.
On Tuesday, Klay finally underwent surgery to repair the ligament, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
According to his agent, the five-time All-Star is expected to return in five to seven months:
Thompson is expected to make a full recovery. There's no timetable on a return, but his agent Greg Lawrence has said that Thompson is expected to follow a standard recovery time of 5-to-7 months. Thompson recently agreed to a new 5-year, $190M contract with Golden State. https://t.co/8AITODBHcb— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 2, 2019

That means there actually is a chance Klay returns to game action in early December. That seems ...
... unrealistic.
But as former WarriorAndre Iguodala (that's weird to say) said two weeks ago: "He's a fast healer."
The two-time All-NBA selection really is as tough as they come.
This is INSANE! Klay argued with a Warriors trainer and tried to stay in the game. He then jogged back to the locker room, thinking he would get examined and then return to the court. The guy had a torn ACL! pic.twitter.com/5PbNaEF6tD— Drew Shiller (@DrewShiller) June 17, 2019
Klay recently agreed to a five-year max contract with the Dubs worth $190 million.
