Oakland Coliseum to Be Full Capacity June 29 for A's-Rangers

Coliseum to open at full capacity June 29 for A's-Rangers originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

In nearly one month, RingCentral Coliseum can be back to full capacity in Oakland.

The Athletics announced Thursday that they will move to full capacity for the rest of the season beginning June 29 against the Texas Rangers. This follows the Giants moving to full capacity at Oracle Park starting June 25 against the A's for the Battle of the Bay.

The A's decision will be 19 days after California's reopening and is in line with what other teams in California had previously announced.

Health and safety measures will remain in place. However, social distancing no longer will be required.

The A’s will strongly encourage fans to be fully vaccinated, have a negative COVID-19 test prior to attending a home game or wear a face covering when at the ballpark.

On Wednesday, the A's ended their three-game losing streak behind a strong performance from pitcher James Kaprielian. Entering Thursday, they're 29-22, good for one game ahead of the Houston Astros atop the AL West standings.
