Steph's latest NBA honor equals next four Warriors combined originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea
Steph Curry picked up where he left off last season, beginning the 2021-22 NBA campaign with three sensational games to help the Warriors start 3-0.
Curry is averaging 31.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists so far this season, and those numbers earned him his 17th Western Conference Player of the Week honor, by far the most in Warriors franchise history.

The next closest player in Warriors history is former point guard Tim Hardaway, who was Player of the Week five times during his tenure in Golden State.
In fact, Curry has as many Player of the Week honors as the next four players on the list, combined: Hardaway (five), Baron Davis, Chris Mullin and Klay Thompson (four each). Overall, the Warriors now have 55 Player of the Week awards in franchise history.
Curry's best performance of the week came in the Warriors' home opener last Thursday against the LA Clippers, when he dropped 45 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to power a 115-113 win at Chase Center.
Curry beat out Denver Nuggets center and reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokić, Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum, Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant and Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns for the Western Conference honor. Charlotte Hornets wing Miles Bridges was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
Curry didn't win his first Player of the Week honor until Nov. 10, 2014, so all 17 awards have come in the last seven years.
While Curry lost out on the 2020-21 MVP award to Jokić, he won the scoring title last season, averaging 32.0 points per game. Before the All-Star break last year, he averaged 29.7 points per game, but after, he raised his game and dropped in 34.7 points in 28 games to help get the Warriors into the Western Conference play-in tournament.

Through three games, Curry appears to be carrying over last season's success into this year. And with a better supporting cast around him, the Warriors are off to their first 3-0 start since the 2015-16 season.
The way he's playing, Curry likely will win a few more Player of the Week awards this season. This is another Warriors record no one will ever touch.
