Warriors' Steph Curry Scores 45, Continues to Blow Away Steve Kerr

Kerr believes 'there's never been anybody like' Curry originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

Steve Kerr, just like the rest of us, continues to be blown away by Steph Curry.

The Warriors' superstar put together another jaw-dropping performance in Thursday night's 115-113 win over the Los Angeles Clippers at Chase Center.

Scoring 45 points on 16-of-25 from the field and 8-of-13 from 3-point range, Steph was, well ... himself.

We've been watching him do this for more than 12 years now, and yet we're still blown away.

So is coach Steve Kerr.

"Steph Curry ... was just Steph Curry," Kerr told reporters after the game. There's never been anybody like him. Those last two three's were ridiculous."

Curry helped fend off the Clippers' 4th quarter comeback with two huge threes with less than two minutes remaining.

Steph is known for taking deep, acrobatic shots from anywhere on the court. No matter how absurd it may seem, Kerr will always encourage him to shoot from.

"I never say (no), I want him to shoot every time ... even though we've all been here watching it, I'm still blown away," Kerr said. There's never been anybody like him. Not just the shooting range, but just the competitiveness and the guts. Just an amazing player."

Kerr was a sharpshooter himself as a player. Hitting some big shots of his own as a member of the Chicago Bulls, not even a young Steve Kerr would attempt some of the shots Curry takes.

"Which of those last two shots would you as a player most likely have taken?" The Athletic's Marcus Thompson asked Kerr postgame.

"Neither. I would have thrown it to Michael Jordan," Kerr said with a laugh.

If you don't possess the accuracy and shooting ability of Steph Curry, passing to Jordan is certainly a good alternative.
