BMX racing is all in the family for the United States’ Nic Long. The Lakeside, California native was introduced to BMX by his father who would take Nic and his younger sister to a track close to their childhood home. After joining his father on the track, Long took to the sport quickly, opting for BMX over traditional team sports like baseball.
The 2007 graduate of El Capitan High School attended Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College.
A former UCI BMX Supercross World Cup winner, Long failed to make it past the quarterfinals at the London Olympics. This time he plans on making a little more noise on the track.
