Pachulia, West Expected to Return for Warriors Against Blazers

OAKLAND – Warriors coach Steve Kerr was optimistic about the possibility of starting center Zaza Pachulia, who has missed the four games, returning to the lineup Saturday night against Portland.

Kerr also indicated backup big man David West, who left in the fourth quarter against the Knicks on Thursday, also should be able available.

“They’re both probable,” Kerr said. “They’ll get out on the floor and warm up. We’ll see what happens. But I’m expecting both of them to play.”

Pachulia sustained a right wrist contusion on Dec. 8 at Utah, whereas West incurred a contusion to his right hip on Thursday.

Should Pachulia and West both receive final clearance, Kerr identified rookie Damian Jones and veteran big man Anderson Varejao as being relegated to the single-game inactive list.
