For some, the preseason is a time for a tune-up. A time to knock the rust off and get your feet wet as you prepare for another long season in the NBA.
For Steph Curry and the Warriors, Saturday night's preseason opener against the Los Angeles Lakers served as just that. The Dubs looked like a team adjusting to its new parts as they struggled on both ends of the floor in their first real action as a collective unit.
While Saturday's exhibition was a glorified scrimmage for the Warriors, LeBron James gave maximum effort, as the Lakers cruised to a 123-101 win and sent a "warning" shot to the NBA on Twitter. Yeah, it was a little much.
James treating Saturday's game at Chase Center like a regular-season contest did lead to a hilarious viral photo, though, as a camera captured Curry staring quizzically at James as he dove for a ball.

We feel the same way, Steph.
Twitter, of course, had a blast roasting both Steph and 'Bron over the photo.

Sure, sure.

The Warriors undoubtedly will face a learning curve this season after the loss of Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, DeMarcus Cousins and Quinn Cook. With Klay Thompson slated to miss the majority of the season with a torn ACL, the onus will fall on Curry, Draymond Green and D'Angelo Russell to lead to the Dubs back to the NBA playoffs.
James and the Lakers are seen as one of the favorites to take the Western Conference crown from the Dubs, and it's clear LeBron and Anthony Davis are going to cause the Warriors and the rest of the West a ton of issues.
But you don't get extra credit for diving on the floor in October, LeBron.
