In preseason games versus the Cowboys, Oakland leads the series 16-9-0. The Raiders lead the all-time regular season series with Dallas having posted a 6-3-0 record.
During the 2009 season, the Raiders will celebrate the franchise's 50th season of football. Note, the Raiders first ever preseason game on July 31, 1960 was played against the Dallas Texans (now the Kansas City Chiefs).
Next week the Raiders face the 49ers at Candlestick on Saturday for both team's second contest of the exhibition season.
Oakland opens the regular season at home against AFC West rival San Diego on Monday, September 14.
