Would the Navajo be inclined to root for or against the Kansas City Chiefs?
This will actually be the tenth Raiders game ever broadcast in Navajo, and will air over 660 KTNN, a Navajo radio station in Arizona. The Navajo-only broadcast of the game won't be available on Bay Area radio, but "the voice of the Navajo Nation" KTNN does stream a live broadcast on their Web site.
Your announcers for the Raiders' Navajo-only broadcast are L.A. Williams and Samuel Boyd. This L.A. Williams is a lady! I've always wished we had more feisty old women in the broadcast booth for football games.
The Raiders are also donating a portion of their ticket sales this week to the American Indian Child Resource Center, in honor of Native American Heritage Month.
Joe Kukura is a freelance writer who would rather listen to a locally blacked-out Raiders game in Navajo than actually watch the Seahawks play the Cardinals on television.
